Me, John, and Sarah were having a blast playing Street Fighter X Tekken on our Xbox 360 last night. We couldn’t believe the dream match up of characters from both games – Ryu, Ken, Guile, Able, Chun-Li from Street Fighter and Kazuya, Nina, King, Marduk, and Bob from Tekken. But let me tell you about the online modes – they are totally upgraded from Super Street Fighter IV and even have some new surprises. We spent hours battling it out with players from all over the world. The crossover tag-team style combat is truly unique and keeps things interesting with endless possibilities. And don’t even get me started on the Gem System – those selectable gems really enhanced our abilities and power in the game.
We also had a blast trying out different game modes like Briefing Room for training, Scramble Mode for a crazy 4-player battle royale, and Pandora mode which added an extra layer of excitement to our matches. And the fact that we could use different button control schemes for each franchise was a genius move by the developers. But our favorite by far was using the Cross Gauge to activate Cross Assault – it was epic attacking with both of our characters at once!
